DC Comic Character Warner Bros Studio Stores Bean Plushes

One thinks of Looney Tunes when you see Warner Bros Studio Store Character Bean Plushes but too you can see DC Universe cartoon and comic book characters which is a subsidiary of Warner Bros when Warner Bros Communications merged with Time Inc 1989. Which answers my question as I could never put the two together. You also find a few from Tiny Toons, Animaniacs also.

Batman an iconic comic book hero, was introduced in DC Comics in 1939. Bruce Wayne, a wealthy American playboy, and philanthropist. Seeing his parents murdered he made it his life's vocation to stop criminals. Now the owner of Wayne Enterprises, Bruce then creates a bat-inspired persona and prepares himself both mentally and physically and develops bat-themed items, like the Batmobile, bat-cave to go along with his bat persona. Living in Gotham, with his butler Alfred, who knows his secret identity and works with Batman. There is also Robin, his sidekick. Batman has a rogues gallery of villains, the Penguin, Egghead, Catwoman, but his true archenemy is the Joker. The Batman show of the 1960’s was a bit campy but successful and a point of reference until the darker side of fighting relentless villains.
So both known from a live filmed Television series to cartoons to blockbuster movies. And as well as Toy lines, cartoons and video games.

The one and only Joker was first introduced in DC Comics Batman. Ironically, the Joker was planned to meet his demise in his initial appearance, but was spared and came to endure as the Batman’s archenemy. The perfect psychopath, the physical persona coming from falling in a vat of chemical waste, bleaching his skin white, his lips a bold red and his trademark green hair and the disfigurement pushes the Joker over the edge to sheer insanity. The Joker works with his twisted wits, as opposed to any superhuman powers. He relishes his theme created weaponry such as those razor-tipped playing cards, and those old hand buzzer no longer a toy but deadly and because of his prowess in chemical engineering, the Joker takes a heinous joy in creating an assortment of poisonous and lethal brews, conglomerations. Joker does work along with other Gotham supervillains such as the Penguin and Two-Face and the Injustice Gang and League.
In the 1990’s the Joker has a love interest, his former psychiatrist who becomes his villainous sidekick Harley Quinn. The Joker has also fought Superman and Wonder Woman.
Some of the great have become his persona, Cesar Romero, Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger and Jared Leto.

Poison Ivy one of Batmans durable and lasting foes, always attired in a one-piece green outfit garnished with plant vines and leaves the would cover her arms and legs. and was first introduced in 1966 in dc batman comics. Poison Ivy a botanist in Gotham City overly captivated with all plants and their ensuing ecological extinction and too environmentalism, Pamela Lillian Isley, alias Poison Ivy a true eco-terrorist(a contradiction in terms), well versed in a myriad of plant toxins and stunning mind-controlling pheromones as the perfect aid in Ivy’s criminal activities almost always to protecting endangered species and our natural environment. Interestingly Poison Ivy was portrayed as a love interest of Batman. Part of Batmans Rouges Gallery Ivy would team up with Catwoman and also Harley Quinn and Harley was her close friend, romantic interest and periodic team efforts. At first Poison Ivy was the true supervillain but as of late upon occasion Poison Ivy is an anti-heroine, many times doing the wrong things but in life ironic dance, for the right reasons.
Poison Ivy is most recognized as portrayed by Uma Thurman in Batman & Robin also has been portrayed Maggie Geha and Peyton List.
As an aside, POISON Ivy was somewhat inspired by Nathaniel Hawthorne’s short story “Rappaccini’s Daughter”-a poisonous garden that young maiden gardens and tends who becomes impervious to the poison plants but in the process becomes poisonous to others.

The Penguin, Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot was first introduced in 1941 in Detective Comics. A foe who has endured. Quite the dapper criminal, he considered himself Gothams “gentleman of crime”. Although from high-class society but is rejected by them one of the reasons the Penguin turned to crime. His attire, first with his trademark monocle, top hat and tuxedo. A short, rather rotund man with a long nose. Another trademark his umbrella is actually a high-tech umbrella and a formable weapon. And quite appropriately Penguin runs a nightclub called the Iceberg Lounge, a perfect cover for his nefarious criminal activities. On the other hand Penguins Iceberg Lounge is a source of information for Batman of various criminal activities. The Penguin is set apart from most villains as he is quite sane and in total control of his actions. Making unique and a different relationship with Batman and can match Batman's acumen. This is the story that has been run with as there are other versions.
As an aside, the Penguins character was inspired by Kool’s cigarettes mascot, which was a penguin with a top hat and cane, in part because high society gentlemen are reminiscent of Emperor penguins.
The Penguin, like the Joker, has superb portrayals by great actors, Burgess Meredith and Danny DeVito among others.

Harley Quinn first appeared in the animated series Batman.  Once a psychiatrist at Gotham City’s Arkham Asylum Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel had a patient named the Joker, she becomes fascinated by him and volunteers to help treat the Joker. As always a strange relationship, the Joker often ignores insults or hurts Harley and has even tried to kill Harley. But in Harleys twisted mind she truly believes that the Joker really loves her and always comes back to the Joker., Harley becomes both the Jokers love and nefarious colleague and partner in crime and on again and off again girlfriend. Harley’s name is an ironic amusing play on the character from a comic servant role stemming from “commedia dell’arte. Harley was one of the Gotham Series Sirens, which included Catwoman and Poison Ivy who was a close friend and sometimes lover.
Since then Harley Quinn has now the status of the antihero(ine) with her checked past of supervillain amusing history.
The film that propelled not only Harley Quinn into the public eye but also Margot Robbie who created the new anti-hero and when Harley Quinn falls into a chemical bath created by him and Harley now has bleached skin and becomes the Jokers lover. After the Joker kills Batman's sidekick Robin with Harley’s help and Harley is imprisoned and blackmailed (as many of the Suicide Squad members) into joining Amanda Wallers, government group as a task force, known as the Suicide Squad. After their mission, all are returned to the Belle Reve Max Prison. But the Joker breaks in and free Harley. There is in the plans one film Gotham City Sirens, which would have both Catwoman and Poison Ivy. And a Suicide Squad 2.
A few others have played Harley Quinn earlier and the was Mia Sara, Cassidy Alex and almost Willa Holland except the Suicide Squad Film stopped that and proceed with Margot Robbie, a wise decision.
